Chasing Sunshine: Spring Fashion, Picnic Baskets & Real Touch Tulips at The Lemonade Stand
I have to say… this winter has felt long. So very long. And cold.
If I’m being honest, this time of year can be hard for me. I’m one of those people who feels the weight of the darker days, and over the years I’ve learned that a little stretch of sunshine on my face makes all the difference. A few days somewhere warm helps reset my spirit, lift the fog, and carry me through that final stretch before our own beautiful weather returns.
So in a couple of weeks, I’ll be heading off to soak up some sunshine.
While I’m away, my lovely Lemonade Ladies will be holding down the fort here at The Lemonade Stand (as they always do so wonderfully). You truly will be in the very best hands.
Spring Fashion & Vacation Style Arrivals
One of my favourite parts about travelling is bringing something new along for the adventure. I am an absolute sucker for sundresses. I never seem to have enough, but this time I surprised myself.
We recently brought in a black and white Hawaiian print set that I completely fell in love with. Instead of the dress, I chose the matching pants (you’ll see The Stevie Pant below). It’s effortless, a little bold, and very much my style.
If you’re dreaming of warmer days like I am, we currently have beautiful spring fashion and summer vacation outfits arriving in the shop, with even more on the way. Whether you have a getaway planned or simply want to refresh your wardrobe for the new season, we’ve started sprinkling sunshine throughout the store.
And sometimes, that little hint of spring style is enough to lift the mood.
Our Parisian-Inspired Picnic Basket Collection
Speaking of sunshine and slower days…
We’ve just brought in the most beautiful picnic basket collection. Truly, it’s gorgeous. Thoughtfully designed, effortlessly organic, with variations to suit everyone, from classic woven picnic baskets to practical cooler-style lunch bags.
There’s something about these pieces that feels so romantic. Very French countryside. Very market mornings and unhurried afternoons.
I can’t help but picture myself strolling along the French Riviera, one of these picnic baskets in hand, filled with fresh baguettes, creamy cheeses, juicy berries, and a bottle of wine tucked carefully inside. Linen dress, oversized sunnies, nowhere to be but right there in the moment.
But for now… a spring stroll and picnic along Lake Scugog will have to do. And honestly? That can be just as lovely.
Fun is what you make it. Romance doesn’t require a passport. A simple picnic date with a beautiful basket, a blanket, and good food can turn an ordinary afternoon into something special.

Real Touch Tulips | Back In Store & Online
And while we’re talking about bringing beauty into everyday moments…
Our Real Touch Tulips are officially back, and yes, they’re available both in-store and online at The Lemonade Stand.
If you’ve seen these artificial tulips before, you already know how incredibly realistic they are. If you haven’t, you might just find yourself doing a double take. The texture, the movement, the way they sit so naturally in a vase. They truly look like fresh spring tulips gathered straight from the garden.
These Real Touch Tulips have become a customer favourite (and they never last long). This year we’ve added a couple of new styles and colours, and they are so good.
A simple vase of tulips on the kitchen table can completely refresh a space. An easy way to bring spring home, without worrying about wilting blooms.

Staff Favourite: Emily Lex Watercolour Books

Lisa is holding one of her favourite products, our Emily Lex Watercolour Books.
This week, Lisa has chosen the Emily Lex Watercolour Books as one of her favourite products — and it’s easy to see why. Watch her video here to learn why she loves them so much.
These watercolour workbooks have been incredibly popular. There is something calming and nostalgic about sitting down with a brush and a page, letting creativity take over without pressure or perfection.
They feel like the perfect companion to this season. Slower mornings, creative afternoons, and small intentional moments at home.
As we move toward longer days and softer light, I’m holding onto the little things — sunshine (wherever I can find it), romantic daydreams, fresh tulips, and pieces that help us welcome spring in style.
Spring is coming, friends. And we are more than ready for it.
