Why We Hand-Pour Our Soy Candles in Small Batches
There’s something deeply comforting about lighting a candle at the end of the day.
The soft glow.
A familiar scent drifting through the room.
Music playing quietly in the background while the house settles into evening.
For me, candles have always been about more than fragrance. They create atmosphere. They hold memory. They turn ordinary moments into rituals we actually feel connected to.
That feeling is at the heart of every candle we create at The Lemonade Stand.
Every one of our soy candles is hand-poured in small batches right here in our Uxbridge studio — slowly, intentionally, and with so much care behind every single scent.
Why We Choose Soy Wax
When we first started creating candles, I knew I wanted them to feel clean, comforting, elevated, and timeless.
We use natural soy wax because it burns beautifully while creating a softer, longer-lasting fragrance experience throughout the home. Soy wax also aligns with the slower, more intentional lifestyle we’re always drawn to — simple rituals, cozy spaces, and everyday living that feels meaningful.
Our candles are:
- Hand-poured in small batches
- Made with natural soy wax
- Crafted with lead-free cotton wicks
- Phthalate and paraben free.
- Designed for cozy, everyday living
- Created using thoughtfully layered fragrance blends
For us, candle-making is less about trends and more about creating a feeling.
Why Small Batch Matters
Hand-pouring candles in small batches allows us to slow down and focus on quality.
Each candle is carefully poured, cured, labeled, and prepared in-house, giving us the ability to pay attention to every little detail along the way.
There’s something incredibly grounding about the process itself — the scent blending, the pouring, the quiet rhythm of creating something by hand.
Small batch production also allows us the freedom to create collections inspired by the things we genuinely love:
- music
- nostalgia
- changing seasons
- earthy interiors
- cozy rituals
- storytelling
- mood and memory
Which brings me to our newest collection.
Inspired by Music, Mood & Memory
Music has always shaped the atmosphere of my life, my home, and even the way I create.
And for as long as I can remember, Fleetwood Mac — and especially Stevie Nicks — have been woven into that story.
This upcoming candle collection is deeply personal to me because it was inspired by one of my all-time favourite bands and the music I’ve returned to for years and years. I’ve seen Stevie Nicks live three times and Fleetwood Mac twice, and every concert felt unforgettable in its own way.
There’s something about Stevie’s voice, her presence, and the emotion behind the music that has always stayed with me.
I’ve always been drawn to:
- her strength
- her individuality
- her unapologetic creativity
- her softness and power existing together
- her gypsy spirit and layered earthy aesthetic
- the way she made femininity feel mystical, artistic, and strong all at once
That energy inspired this collection from the very beginning.
The scents in this series lean earthy, moody, warm, and nostalgic — inspired by vintage records spinning softly in the background, incense smoke drifting through the room, dried florals, worn leather, stormy skies, candlelight glowing late into the evening, and slow Sunday mornings with Fleetwood Mac playing in the kitchen.
I wanted these candles to feel like comfort, creativity, freedom, softness, and nostalgia all at once.
The collection was designed for:
- cozy evenings at home
- journaling by candlelight
- rainy afternoons
- slow mornings
- music-filled kitchens
- beautifully layered spaces
- moments of rest and reflection
For me, Fleetwood Mac has never simply been music playing in the background. It’s music I’ve deeply connected to emotionally over the years — music that feels tied to memories, creativity, femininity, and the atmosphere I’m always trying to create both in our shop and at home.
This collection feels like a love letter to all of that.

Candles as Everyday Ritual
One of my favourite things about candles is the way they transform ordinary moments.
Lighting one while making coffee in the morning.
Cleaning the kitchen at sunset.
Reading before bed.
Hosting dinner with friends.
Playing music while the house glows softly around you.
These small rituals matter.
They remind us to slow down and actually live inside the moments we’re creating.
That feeling — warmth, atmosphere, comfort, nostalgia, beauty — is what we hope every candle from The Lemonade Stand brings into your home.
Our new Fleetwood Mac inspired candle collection launches next week, and I truly cannot wait to share it with you.
